Progress Through Unity

Brother Jermaine Jenkins/Memorial Services

Brothers and Sisters:

I’m sure most people are aware of the passing of our brother Jermaine “Coach” Jenkins. It is with a heavy heart that I lay out the details of his services for his untimely and undeserved passing.

I would like to just share a few sentiments please. It’s imperative now, more than ever that we as a membership, as brother and sisters understand that life is not guaranteed to any of us. We must show, at a minimum respect for one another. Now is the time to unite! Brother Jenkins passing tells us if he could go any of us can go. He was and will always be a brother that would do anything for anyone. As a Local Vice President and Vice Local Chairman he protected our members and non members to the best of his abilities. His smile will never be forgotten, and his respect and love for our craft and everyone that belong’s to it can’t be questioned. He was a champion for what is right, and never had a problem to tell you when he thought you were wrong, but advice always came with it. Brother Jenkins was a great family man, and a spiritual man. His mark will be left on this union, this property forever!

I love my brother and will miss him dearly, I’m sure all of you will as well.

I would like to thank VP Ray Kenny for the letter sent out to our members regarding this untimely passing. I would also like to thank the Carrier for respecting and understanding this tragic loss affects our members and many more.

NJ Transit will be providing bus/shuttle services from Hamilton Train Station to the memorial.

Members should consider carpooling as well.
