We are aware that we had an issue with some checks without Microcline, a new check has been printed and will be ready or pick up staring tomorrow.

Education Committee Zoom Meeting NJ Transit Police

Our second Education Committee Meeting will be on May 13, 2021 at 7:00pm 

We have invited union officers from the PBA and FOP, they will provide some insight for our members and are looking for suggestions to improve protections for employees and passengers.

We look forward having the rank and file police officers available to answer important concerns and questions regarding the safety of everyone, please log on and attend if your available.

We will also post a recorded version on our social media sites, for those unable to attend.

MVD Update

The MVD (mobile validation device) or I-phone has a new update available, this includes better functioning when there is no cellular service, and under the MVD app-Forms-2C-1 (no cash remittance app) see division notice DN1-419A.

We anticipate more apps/functions available soon, testing of the TCR (1155) reports will start next week, we are encouraging members to turn on device, download the update, and see what is new on the device. 

There is a feedback section under the MVD app that will bring any concerns/critique/suggestions directly to the IT MVD team.

We are also asking members to activate their NJ Transit email, the information on how to was mailed to each employees home address. If you have misplaced it contact IT (see below) for instructions.

  • helpdesk@njtransit.com and copy “CC” mvdappsupport@njtransit.com give your contact information with preference on what is preferred, give a good cell phone and email. Include the MVD phone number when contacting IT.
  • Phone: 973-491-4357 The IT Service Desk team will receive the ticket and assign to appropriate IT team to resolve. 4 individuals are assigned to the IT Service Desk and are constantly monitoring the queue. 4 individuals are assigned to provide Wireless device support.

Contact rail supervision for hardware issues chargers, cracked screen, phone will not power up, etc.

We have available appointments this week at our Newton Avenue administration building in Camden and at our General Office Building in Maplewood for all active NJ TRANSIT employees!

OPTION 2

 

NJ TRANSIT PARTNERS WITH WALGREENS TO OFFER

COVID VACCINES TO ALL EMPLOYEES

 

Through a partnership with Walgreens, NJ TRANSIT will offer COVID-19 vaccines to ALL interested employees on SATURDAY, APRIL 3rd, at our FERRY STREET FACILITY, located at 703 Ferry Street, Newark, NJ 07105.

Walgreens will be administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine on this date.  The Johnson & Johnson vaccine does not require a second dose appointment. 

If interested, you MUST register AND fill out the attached consent form before your first  appointment.  This form MUST be brought with you to your appointment!

NJ TRANSIT has also partnered with University Hospital to offer vaccination appointments for ALL NJ TRANSIT employees. You must use the following two-step verification process in order for University Hospital to verify that you are an active NJ TRANSIT employee:

  • Using your NJ TRANSIT e-mail address, e-mail University Hospital at NJTransit@uhnj.orgIn your e-mail, indicate your interest in the program and include your NJ TRANSIT ID number and your preferred telephone number.
  • University Hospital staff will then call you directly to review information and set up your appointment.

You will need to show your government-issued photo ID and your insurance card at your appointment. However, you will not bear any out-of-pocket expenses to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

 

OPTION 4

 

Employees may also make an appointment for vaccination through New Jersey’s COVID-19 Vaccine Scheduling System or at a State- or county-approved site.
