Upcoming Vaccine Availability at NJT Locations

ATTENTION EMPLOYEES
Next week, from May 25th through May 27th, NJ TRANSIT will proudly join forces with the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) to offer space at Newark Penn Station, Secaucus Junction, and the Walter Rand Transportation Center to help vaccinate as many New Jerseyans as possible.
NJ TRANSIT employees are welcome to take advantage of this vaccination opportunity. Walk-ups are welcome, and you don’t need an appointment. For all the details, please see the flyer below.

Through this effort and many others, NJ TRANSIT is working to ensure that all New Jerseyans have access to COVID vaccines, while at the same time supporting Governor Murphy’s ambitious statewide vaccination goals.

This includes offering free rides through our VAXRIDE initiative to customers travelling to and from vaccination appointments and administering more than 3,000 vaccine doses to our employees at clinics at our Camden and Maplewood facilities.

OPEN ENROLLMENT BENEFIT SESSIONS – RAIL AGREEMENT EMPLOYEES

NJ TRANSIT Health Advisory (COVID-19)

ATTENTION EMPLOYEES

As you may have heard, yesterday the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that, “Vaccinated Americans May Go Without Masks in Most Places.” This is of course good news, and another positive sign that we are coming out on the other side of this pandemic.

HOWEVER, this does not mean NJ TRANSIT employees are currently permitted to go mask-less most times while at work – except where allowed under NJ TRANSIT Policy 3.36A – for a number of important reasons:

While vaccinations are clearly moving trends in the right direction, we are not out of the woods yet. Eighty of our colleagues are currently positive for COVID-19, and last week, we lost our 22nd employee to this deadly virus. That is why, until you hear otherwise, all NJ TRANSIT employees MUST CONTINUE TO WEAR MASKS, except where allowed under NJ TRANSIT Policy 3.36A.

Thank you for your cooperation.
